Father's Day & More

After church yesterday we went to Quiznos for lunch (mmmm... toasty!) and then we went to see Kung Fu Panda, which was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time and which totally lives up to the most glowing movie review I've ever seen in a newspaper. We were in a theater full of kids, and except for a few points where the story slows temporarily (and necessarily) for plot exposition, the whole place was riveted for the whole movie. Once or twice, the place was laughing so hard that I wasn't sure if we were going to miss something in the story because everybody was still laughing! And at the end of the movie, we heard (and participated in) something you hear far too little of at the movies: applause.

So after we got done doin' the panda thing (Ske-DOOSH!) we went over to my mom & dad's for a steak dinner which Mom had cooked on the grill, bringing Dad's Father's Day gift with us (a new shirt) and then we went over to Cathy's Dad's to bring his gift (a movie, National Treasure 2). Kevvie, Theresa, Olivia, Melanie, Davy, and Casssie were all there... Kevvie is Cathy's brother, and they all keep SUPER busy so it's awesome to get to see them!

Today Mikey and I have another fish to fry... Cub Scout Day Camp at Camp Russell! I couldn't go last year because I had just started a new job, but this year I'm taking a week of vacation and going with him. We're going to have a BLAST!
